Hugh has been with RELX Plc. since 2011 when RELX purchased Accuity where he was the Chief Executive Officer. Since 2011 Accuity has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most significant companies in the payment routing and Anti Money Laundering sectors. In addition to leading Accuity, Hugh has led Fircosoft, NRS, I.C.I.S, Estates Gazette (EG), and Cirium, serving most recently as Global Managing Director within the Risk and Business Analytics Division. Through the years he has led large scale acquisition and integration processes of many companies that now reside and prosper within the RELX portfolio. He assumed the CEO role at Reed Exhibitions at the start of 2020
Hugh is well versed in public company protocol and all facets of firm management including P&L oversight, talent development, forecasting, sales execution, technological innovation, and product discovery, launch and growth.
He holds a BA in economics from Yale University cum laude and an MBA from the University of Michigan
Alexandra has been with RELX since 2012, when she became the General Counsel, Corporate and M&A, working alongside the corporate finance team and overseeing the legal aspects of all acquisitions and disposals across RELX globally. This role also expanded to include providing support on RELX corporate structure transactions (such as the corporate simplification involving the merger of the two listed parent companies in 2018) and supporting the RELX treasury function on European and US debt issuances.
Alexandra is well versed in a wide variety of legal issues that can arise across multiple jurisdictions, and is admitted to practice in Australia and England and Wales, and certified by the Board of Examiners in New York.
She is Australian, and currently lives in London, but was born in Greece and throughout her life has also lived in Athens, Chicago, Melbourne and Sydney. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Finance and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Melbourne. She was named as one of the “35 Women Under 35” in Britain by Management Today in 2015.
After joining Reed Exhibitions as Deputy General Manager of Reed Exhibitions Russia in 2008, Anna then became CEO of Reed Exhibitions Russia in 2017, followed by CEO of Reed Exhibitions Turkey and Reed Exhibitions Middle East in 2019. In January of 2021, Anna was appointed CEO of Reed Exhibitions UK in addition to her existing role of CEO of Russia, Turkey and the Middle East and India. Anna has a broad range of skills and experience in all aspects of management, including strategy creation and implementation, optimization of event portfolios and synergies, acquisitions and new product launches. She has a real passion to lead diverse and creative teams, ensuring there is an inclusive and kind culture wherever the business operates. Anna has worked in the exhibitions industry for 21 years. She is a wellconnected person with significant relationships in the cosmetics industry, Anna has served as Deputy Chairwoman on the Board of Perfumery and Cosmetic Association of Russia since 2007. Anna has an MBA in Strategic Marketing from Stockholm School of Economics as well as an Honours Degree in Public Relations from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Furthermore, Anna has studied journalism in India and spent time undertaking short courses at Ashridge Business School in the UK and Harvard Business School in the US. Anna speaks Russian, English, Spanish and Italian.
Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein has been chairman of the management board and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Reed Exhibitions Austria since November 2017. Three years later - in November 2020 - he took over the same position for Reed Exhibitions Germany. Born in Vienna, he began his professional career in sales at the “Mayr-Melnhof Packaging Group”, where he worked from 1999 to 2011. Within this time he moved up the ladder and became Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer for Austria, Romania, Italy, Turkey and the SEE region. During this period he graduated as an executive MBA from the “IEDC Bled school of management” in Slovenia. This was followed by the position of COO at “F. Trenka chem.-pharm Fabrik GmbH” in Vienna, where Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein was entrusted with the development of new business areas and the cooperation with toll manufacturers. Shortly before joining Reed Exhibitions, he was director of marketing and sales in Europe at “Graphic Packaging International”. A company based in Brussels, where he was responsible for the conception and implementation of a Europe-wide sales and marketing structure.
Brian joined Reed Exhibitions in January 2017 as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for digital, data, and technology transformation. Prior to joining Reed Exhibitions, Brian worked at FedEx where he was responsible for online customer facing solutions including e-commerce, customer service, and sales globally. He has also led development teams in multiple industries including consumer electronics, telecommunications, photo manufacturing and healthcare. Brian earned a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa and a B.A. in History from University of California, Los Angeles.
Chien-Ee joined Reed Exhibitions in Ocotober 2011 as the APAC CFO. He subsequently took on the role as the APAC COO in 2017 and assumed his current position in January 2019.
Prior to joining Reed Exhibitions, he was the APAC Finance Director with Brady Corp and also Teradyne Inc for more than 15 years and worked in Singapore, Shanghai and Boston. He also spent several years as an auditor and consultant with PwC. Chien-Ee is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and is a member of the institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia.
Fernando joined Reed Exhibitions as President, US in January 2020. Previously he was CEO of Reed Exhibitions (RX) Brazil for three years, during which time he dramatically improved customer value, financial performance and employee engagement. Under his leadership, he significantly enhanced both the unique and high impact digital solutions for matchmaking and developing the employee culture, winning RX Brazil the accolade of one the ‘best places to work’ in the country. Prior to joining Reed Exhibitions, Fernando served as CEO of six companies in Brazil and one startup in the US across a wide range of industries ranging from consumer electronics, mobile, gaming and healthcare, to security, foodservice and industrial. He also held a CEO position in an NGO helping to fund unsupported athletes for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Fernando is best known for his innovation and his results-oriented focus on customers and employees alike. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and is also an Yale alumni.
After a career at Andersen Consulting then at the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Michel Filzi joined Miller Freeman in 1998, which became Reed Expositions France following its acquisition by Reed Exhibitions in 2000. He was appointed President/CEO of Reed Expositions France in January 2014. He is the President and Chief Executive of Reed MIDEM since October 2020. He graduated from Centrale Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Michèle joined Reed Exhibitions in September 2017. Before joining Michèle was Global CFO of MEC (a founding partner of GroupM, WPP’s media investment group). During her 11 years at MEC, Michèle also held finance and commercial leadership roles in the EMEA region.
Prior to MEC, Michèle worked at Clear Channel Entertainment in various general management, finance and corporate roles across music, theatre, sports and leisure businesses. Michèle is a qualified UK Chartered Accountant and began her career at KPMG.
Richard Mortimore is Group Commercial Director of Reed Exhibitions. He joined Reed Exhibitions UK as Managing Director of the Travel division in May 2006 and was responsible for the global development of the portfolio of travel and meeting exhibitions as well as running the day to day operations of the group. In 2013 in became the Chief Executive Officer of the UK business and added responsibilities for Sub Saharan Africa the following year. In his current role he is responsible for developing and implementing the RX global commercial strategy which aligns with company goals and objectives, drives revenue and ultimately business growth.
With a background in business management and accountancy, Richard previously held senior management roles as Director International Sales, Services and Marketing EMEA for US Airways well as a variety of roles for United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
Takeshi Tanaka graduated from Keio University and entered Reed Exhibitions Japan in 2000. In his 20 year career within Reed Exhibitions Japan, Takeshi Tanaka has launched 50 plus exhibitions such as communications, highly-functional material, energy and medical and has led each exhibition to succeed and grow.
In 2019, Takeshi Tanaka was appointed as the President of Reed Exhibitions Japan.
